We are currently offering reusable glass jars as an option that does not create plastic waste. This creates and extra cost and more labor for washing and tagging. Therefore we charge a fee and have a deposit to make sure we get the jars back.

The deposit for each jar is $4. When you return jars, you will get a credit on your next order for $2 for each jar you returned.

This is a difference of $2 which covers the extra costs and labor involved.

In order to get the credit, we need to have all 4 parts of the jar returned. This includes the glass jar and the lid of course. But also there is a plastic disk that sits on top of the glass jar, and a wafer that fits inside the lid.

The label, security sticker and desiccant pack are disposable. The only plastic waste is the tiny security sticker, which is required per Oregon law, and for safety.
